Thanks. I think this program is potentially genius. If all these ideas are implemented then I would definitely be recommending it to the office I work (c. 20 people, heavy IT use) and being happy to pay for it.
One concern is that the tagging system itself seems proprietary (from what I can tell) and possibly not accessible to other systems. Therefore if you decide to opt out of Taggingfrog sometime later (or God forbid Taggingfrog doesn't make it) then you've got a lot of unreadable tags on your files - not good for a commercial user. In my view metadata should be heading toward a standard format.

As you can see from Task List I am planning to add library export functionality to help migration between the different tagging tools. Also, I am considering the possibility of switching to one of the standard SQL-based database.

Do you have any solution for portable devices ?
I'm using my portable hard disk, and I want to use it in home pc and work laptop. But the problem is , the tags are not coming with the device.
It will be useful if there is some option, which tells the tags/comments will be there along with file or folder tag frog hidden file. so that it could be exported while coming files even

Something worth fixing in the next version:
I use a laptop and an external monitor. Most of the time, I have both screens working, with Taggedfrog as small as possible on the external monitor. Works fine.
Now if I Exit taggedfrog on the external monitor and later try to open it with just the laptop screen, the program is available only in a maximised display, covering the entire laptop monitor and requires me to click Restore on the Windows tab. Resizing does not work. However, if I remember to drag Taggedfrog to the laptop screen PRIOR to exiting, the problem does not occurr.

Its a great piece of tool. i love it. While using, i feel that there are some rooms where it can be optimized. although there are already lot of suggestions for you and lot of work to be done. let me know if i can help u in someway or other.
Well, one of the non-mentioned problem is that when u drag-drop any file or directory in the cloud area, a window appears listing name(s) of file(s). While using "keywords from file name" option the the bottom, import drop down menu, it takes all the words from file name. e.g. i've a file named "2-D adaptive Volterra filter for 2-D nonlinear channel equalization and image restoration-00118956.pdf" the tags it will make are "2-D" "adaptive" "Volterra" "filter" "for" "nonlinear" "channel" "equalization" "and" "image" "restoration-00118956" etc. I've GB's of data with such file names and i don't need keywords like "for" "and" "of" etc. How to deal with them? Can there be any option for selective tags from the file name or any option to limit tag to minimum number of characters etc.???

I see you've added an export function, which is great. But i don't see an import function. Surely that's the whole point? That we can back-up our database and then be able to import that information in case of crash or a re-install etc.

Seriously, great job on this software. Easy, simple, effective. Quick question/request, if it hasn't already been asked/requested:
I've got a ton of tags! So many that I can't see them all in the cloud. I could make the font tiny, but then I wouldn't be able to see them either. Is there a way (can there be a way) to scroll down the tag cloud, to see the tags that don't show?

what do you mean by enhanced search. I hope this is a way to search for multiple tag in one search .. ;-)
Another things integration with office would be cool. But integration with openoffice and mail client like thunderbird would be apreciate too ;-)

I'm currently in the process of reorganising the way I work with files and e-mails: from a folder-based approach to a tag-based approach. I'm very happy I found TaggedFrog to help me with that. On the new feature side: some of the things you propose on your task list are exactly what I'm still missing in TaggedFrog. In particular, I worry about renaming files on my hard drive and then having to manually adapt all paths etc. in my TaggedFrog library.
Since I haven't seen a recent update on where your development is at, can you tell us something about your activities? I'd be happy to contribute if I knew of a time frame .
