You can use current or parent folder names or parts of the file names as the tags but unfortunately you are not able to convert folder name parts into the tags.

Firstly, excellent program! Thank you :)

I'm looking to be able to tag files relative to specific parts of their folder name.

For instance, if I have a folder called "2010-01 Photos of new house (Sam)" then I would like to tag all files in that folder with the tags:
2010, January, Photos, New House, Sam. (rather than a single tag as per the folder name).

I'd tried editing the filter field in the scan and tag dialog but I don't seem to be able to get it to read folder names.

I wondered if this was possible, and if not if it might be a suitable thing to include in future releases?
