Autotagging with %Filename?

Maybe I am missing something obvious... Let's say I have a file:

c:\Automobile\Porsche\911.jpg

I would like the tags for this file to be Automobile, Porsche, 911. But when I use %all as my tag when autotagging, TaggedFrog only uses Automobile and Porsche (does not include the filename as a tag).

Is there something I am doing wrong or is this a limitation of the software?

auto tagging source code files

Hi,
I'm hoping there is a way to do this:
I would like to add tags to source code for my projects like this for example:
#tags fileio, regex, xpath
and have a way to reindex all my source files so it's easy to find old projects that dealt with a specific topic.
Does anyone know a way to do this with taggedfrog?
Thanks,
- pg

Tags with more than one word

Hi everyone,

I'm just starting to use this software, really good indeed, but there's something I can't do or it's impossible at this point.

Is it possible to create tags with more than word? I mean, there's a little handsome guy somewhere in the world with Indiana Jones' Trilogy and wants to tag files with "Harrison Ford", buf TaggedFrog separates it in "Harrison" and "Ford". I think you're getting the point of it ;)

But! TaggedFrog tag edition allows manipulate existing tags and turn "Harrison" into "Harrison Ford"! So, is it possible to do in first time? I mean, with colon, semicolon, pipes...

Thank you in advance from Spain.

I'm grateful for ideas about opening a series of (filtered) files from the taggedfrog browser into another application.

I use taggedfrog to tag and filter a large number of image files. I'd like to filter results, view thumnails in the tagfrog browser (as I can now), then open the tagged files in a 3rd party viewer/editor.

Thanks in advance-

Hello,

When I select "Rename" by right-clicking a file it will rename the file in the library, but not the file itself. Same behavior as "Edit item".

I would expect the real file name to change as well. Correct?

Thanks and regards,

Tagged Frog Portable / Portable Apps

Trouble Description:
I've tried to use TF as portable application (downloaded the .zip package where it says on the download page it's the portable version).
However, TF still writes its tags-database into "applicaton data" on C:\... .
Desired Behaviour:
That's a problem, as I've 'installed' TF on my USB stick and I would like TF to keep all the tags information on the stick as well, so I can carry it around with me.
My Questions:
Did I do anything wrong?
Or can you tell me please how to configure TF, so it doesn't use "application data"?
Or - and this would be the best case - is there a specific version of TF for "portable Apps" (http://portableapps.com)?

Thank you in advance for your time!

Best regards

Is there a limit to the number of taggable files?

Hi everybody and compliments to the development team for this really good application;
My question is very simple: is there a limit to the number of files that can be tagged by TaggedFrog? I'm asking this because for work purposes I'll have to tag thousands of files.
Thank you very much

Manage Tags

After I have imported some files using a csv file, I am not able to edit/delete the tags.
I can access the page manage tags, and it displays "select tag to edit" below the list of tags, but when I click on any of them, it doesnt become green and the panel below is completely white.

Any idea on how i can overcome this issue?

I thought of modifying the tags.wft file, but using notepad to open it doesn't seem to be the best solution.

Any feedback is welcome, as always.

Thanks

Can I make rules for scan & tag or auto-tagging to use file stored basic information (not sure but may be it is metadata) like author, date created, size, dimension, bit rate etc etc... as tags or at least to search down/filter files while scan or auto??

I think right now this feature is not there, but if it is possible please tell me how... And if not please consider it a feature request.

problem with duplicate names folder with different path

In both auto-tagging feature and scan & tagging feature (rule %all), tagged frog don't put different tags for same name folder but different path/sub-folder/parent folder.

Like I have a language folder in that two different folder name as English and Spanish. Each language folder having sub-folder named as vocab.

When i used tagged frog, it tagged both vocab folder files under one single tag. If there is a way to put some extension on duplicate names but different paths while auto tagging, like 1st one vocab and vocab001. So user can change tags names.

Even if I am scanning each language folder one by one then also problematic until unless i manually change folder name or scan vocab folder alone and also tag it with different name.
